Aark House is a compact hostel located within a 5-minute drive from Gangneung Train Station (Yeongdong Line). Free WiFi access is available in all areas. great little spot perfect for one person just to sleep. owner let me check in late and was super nice in the morning. highly recommend.

Seems to only have 2 rooms available, we booked both and each has a totally different layout. Both rooms are lovely. No lift, and rooms are on level 3 and 4. It's okay if no old folks or huge luggages to carry. But would totally still recommend this place to stay, and if possible more than 1 night to enjoy the space.

The owners are very friendly people who helped with a couple of tips. The guesthouse is located directly opposite the beach with a stunning walking area. There are many restaurants and shops around. There is a bus stop within a 10-minute walk that leads to Seoraksan, and it takes 15-20 minutes to get to Seoraksan itself. Their magnificent black dog leaves special emotions, which you just want to hug!

The room and the bed were even bigger than expected, the breakfast was very nice (I miss fruits since I've been living here so that was very welcome) and the lady was so sweet and helpful. I wish I could have stayed longer !
