On Lofoten’s rugged coastline just 400 metres from the centre of Kabelvåg fishing village, this hostel has a sauna, BBQ area, laundry facilities and free Wi-Fi. A breakfast buffet is included. This accommodation was very clean and had a great kitchen, with all kitchenware necessary. The breakfast was delicious, with lots of vegetarian options. It was also great having a sink in our room. It's a lovely place, very close to the local church and I recommend it to anyone who wants to stay around Svolvaer.

Arrived with the ferry from Bodø to Moskenes and decided to stay in Å for the night to start our Lofoten trip at the southern point. Authentic old rorbu house in the middle of Å. We were skeptical towards shared bathrooms but were pleasantly surprised. They were very clean. In fact, the one we used as a family has not been used, and the facility was fully booked. It is very nice to have a mutual understanding and respect of spaces when shared with others. We got to see the catch of the day from a group that just returned from a fishing trip, which was very exciting for our little one. See fish being gutted, seagulls swarming the area, and crabs fighting on the ocean bed below in the crystal clear water. The room was spacious and had a sink, which was a plus, so one could wash their face and brush teeth in the morning.

This is a former school dormitory converted into a hotel. We had a wonderful stay; the room was spacious and comfortable, and the host warmly welcomed us with great flexibility and recommendations for exploring the area.
