Great rural alternative if you don't want to stay right in the tourist center of Valle Anton. We booked three nights and could not have been happier! The host family was really an example of panamanian hospitality, they looked after us for trips, gave us tips, and even a small tour around the neighborhood. Very sweet people. Auxi, the host, is an English teacher, so you will have no problems with communication. We loved the stay as it gave us an idea of rural panamanian life and access to more hidden spots to visit (including the 'Pozo azul', which you need to go to). Recommend!

Alla rum har en uteplats och en sittgrupp. This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in! The staff are very helpful knowing everything about all the walks and treks. There is a kitchen upstairs and downstairs which is very convenient. The outdoor area is great to chill in and they offer yoga (for a donation) and free cooked breakfast in the mornings. Lastly my favourite part is there’s quite a few friendly dogs around which is my heaven and I absolutely loved. For the people who don’t like dogs, they really keep to themselves unless you approach them to pet them.

The location was great, had an awesome view of the mountains from the property. You can see the India Dormida and the Cariguana, which makes for amazing sunsets and sunrises. The place is VERY clean, and breakfast is included. The host is very nice and Carolina, another employee, attended to our needs with no problem (and cooks amazing breakfast!). I also liked that there was private parking, which made me and girlfriend feel safer.

Larissa goes out of her way to help you. she is fluent in English and knows the area. She keeps everything clean and she makes you feel at home.
