Everything is new, clean, tidy and modern. The kitchen is well-equipped. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I am also glad to find a female dorm with the bathroom inside the room. They even have an extra toilet so you have 2 toilets for a room of six. It also has a good location, 5 minute walk to the supermarket and bus station. The port is also nearby. I forgot to mention that the hostel has a back yard and wonderful views. One side you can see mount Pico and the other is Sao Jorge island.

Super clean and everything seems newly decorated, this place was decorated with great care. Lockers in the dorm room (bring a padlock or they offer to give you one), views of the mountain and a great kitchen, lounge and garden. Location was central and 2 mins to the port.

Accomodation was clean and tidy. Kitchen facilities were good and communal area comfortable. Location was very central. Staff was also very helpful and friendly.

Lajes do Pico'da yer alan Engenho Hostel'de WiFi erişimi ücretsizdir. Tüm konaklama birimlerinde düz ekran uydu TV, buzdolabı, kahve makinesi, duş, saç kurutma makinesi ve çalışma masası vardır. Very nice location, one of the best in Pico, in my opinion. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets. Plenty of parking spaces and a nice view over the ocean :) The house is very clean and equipped with the basics one might need. The communication was very good, at all times there was a phone number available. And the bonus: books! Books everywhere!! Loved this place so much!
