Pulizia impeccabile che avviene ogni giorno, un giardino rilassante, colazioni buonissime (i pancake erano la luce delle mie mattine). Personale gentilissimo, divertente, sempre pronto ad aiutarti e consigliarti, disponibilità di cenare la sera presso il ristorante, in giardino, con prezzi abbordabili. Organizzano inoltre tour la domenica. Non sarà un hotel di lusso certo, ma entri nello spirito di Sao Miguel e queste sono le cose che fanno la differenza. Grazie di tutto. ❤️

Very clean room, location in the center of Ponta Delgada, which was very convenient, and parking was available around the block (payment needed, though). The staff was very polite and helpful!

Situato a Ponta Delgada, a 500 m dalle Portas da Cidade, il Magma Hostel offre sistemazioni climatizzate e una terrazza. È stata la mia prima esperienza in ostello. Non poteva andare meglio, spazi ampi, letto comodissimo, sempre pulito, a due passi dal centro. Rui è stato molto gentile e sempre disponibile per qualsiasi cosa. Tornerei!

Very good breakfast with both savory and sweet options, fresh fruits, coffee or tea. 24h access to the kitchen (there is possibility to cook as there is stove, oven, pots, cutting board and more!) with big fridge where you can leave anything (even marker and sticker are provided to mark your food). The fridge also makes drinkable water or ice cubes. In the small patio you can find ping pong table! Reception is friendly, ready to help, speaking fluent English. Code sistem makes it possible to arrive any time of a day. Rooms are big and spacious, with much space for unpacking clothes. Bathroom big as well, clean.

13 km from Pico do Carvao, Pé Direito is located in Ponta Delgada and provides air-conditioned rooms. So, I'm normally not a fan of shared accommodation as I like to have my privacy. However, reading the reviews here I gave this one a chance and boy, I'm sure glad I did! The interior is modern and welcoming and everything is kept super clean. There are two private bathrooms which are shared, but only one person can use them at a time, which is great! There's a big fully equipped kitchen at your disposal and when I say fully, I mean FULLY. It has a dishwasher, an oven, all the utensils you might need and also many shared food items like spices, sauces, condiments etc. After you've eaten, you can have a smoke on the cozy little terrace. The bedrooms have three bunk beds. The beds themselves are comfortable. Maybe I was lucky with roommates, but there was a kind of unwritten rule that the bedroom is a "quiet" zone - as in if you wanted to have a phone call, watch loud videos etc while someone was sleeping, you went to the living room instead. Most people respected this, although not 100% of the time, but that comes with staying in a shared place I guess. The location of the hostel is central, just a few steps from the seaside. Many restaurants and bars nearby. I recommend visiting the military museum, which is very close to the hostel as well! Last but definitely not least, Ana was an amazing hostess. She speaks English very well, she's very pleasant and quick to respond if you're in trouble. I prefer going along my own axis, but others have said that she's capable of arranging/giving advice for almost anything for you on the island. I ended up staying longer than expected, only leaving for a private accommodation when I needed peace and quiet for my work. That being said, many people actually worked from this hostel without an issue! This was just a personal preference of mine. Again, thank you for the hospitality. I will definitely come back if I'm in the Azores again!

Il Nook Hostel sorge a Ponta Delgada. A vostra disposizione anche una sala comune con TV a schermo piatto. Le camere sono dotate di bagno privato o in comune. This is an immaculate hostel that is well cared for, and is thoughtfully designed for the traveler to have everything. The kitchen had everything you need and the breakfast was generously supplied. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet because the windows are well insulated in canceling any outside noise. The other guests are very respectful. This is a very quiet Hostel the bathrooms are clean and the water pressure is strong and the water is hot. There is a laundromat a block away and very convenient. The hosts responded immediately to any questions and were always available to help. Alex had many great suggestions for activities on the island. Check in and check out was smooth and easy. The location was ideal. I highly recommend booking here, and I will definitely return.
