I believe nowadays its difficult to give something a 10. But probably this place meets all the expectations. One of the best hostel I've ever stayed if not the best. Devon and Rene are such nice persons and the atmosphere that they have created it should be experienced. Game drives and common dinner. The location is perfect. Perhaps you can not feed Zebras in the morning everywhere:D It's more than a Hostel! Cheers guys, thank you so much. It was amazing!

The place is simple but very charming. Nice location down to a small river. Very helpfull owner. It you come from Graskop it is easy to find with great signboards. The Road is a real bushroad. I will love to come back. I am now staying in a first class hotel but is longing for the simple beauty of Joys Backpacker place. Also close to great sights. Highly recommended.

We were one of the only guests staying and the fairly secluded property with its mountain views, trees and a little lake felt like a peace haven. We had a fully equipped kitchen in our private spacious room and could also use the communal area with a pool table in the main house. The host and his mum were very nice and we were greeted by the residential goose, two cute dogs and cat everyday in the outside lounge area. Would definitely stay again!

The crew were extremely nice and helpful, they help me in anything that i needed, taxis, food, tours, you name it. The price was very fair. Dave and his family were awesome. The tours to kruger park and blade canyon were just amazing. Im Definitely gona be back some day
