Welcome to my delightful and spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom underground home. Located in a safe and quiet area of town, it is clean and comfy and offers a lovely feel and atmosphere of home. This dugout is let as a whole home and is suitable for singles, couples travelling together, as well as families. It offers all the comforts and facilities of home including linen, laundry and cooking facilities. With the kitchen and 2nd bedroom set along the front of the cut, it offers lots of light into the place, and the living and bedroom areas are large giving the dugout a nice airy feel. There is a large bbq area, a carport, and ample room for parking cars, caravans and trailors. Although dugouts are renowned for keeping a constant temperature of between 18 - 25 degrees Celsius, they can vary after long stints of hot or cold weather, also doors being left open, therefore I have installed a split system air conditioner ensuring your complete comfort for the duration of your stay whether it be summer or winter. Note: Pets allowed only with prior approval. If you are travelling as an extra large group my other dugout "Di's Place" is next door. It is a large 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom underground home which sleeps up to 9 people.

Welcome to my lovely dugout. I purchased it in 1997 along with the 2 dugouts next door. They are my passion and I love to renovate. Over the last 20 years I have continued to add and improve my beautiful homes offering people from all over the world the experience of living underground. Working in most areas of the hospitality industry for over 35 years now, I truly enjoy helping people get the most out of life through good service and a friendly face. We love out town. It is unique and the people who live here are friendly and always up for a chat and happy to help. The town itself is steeped in history of opal mining and outback. The desert views and night skies are like nothing you have ever seen before. As opal capital of the world , Coober Pedy hosts beautiful shops and, if you happen to be looking for that fabulous and personable gemstone, you will find it here at a much more affordable price than the city. The tourism here offers great tours which include mining, the opal fields, undergound living and our glorious outback. Visit the award winning Old Timers Mine which is self guided, or do a guided tour at Toms Working Mine or Umoona Opal mine. Other tours include Fays Underground home, the Break-a-ways; and the longest fence in the world, the famous Dog Fence which wraps around Coober Pedy, approximately 40km north and 30km south. The town and outside area have also been home to the making of many movies including Mad Max 3, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Pitch Black etc. As a multicultural town with approximately 45 different nationalities living here, we have several clubs including the Italo-Australian Miners Club, the Serbian club, Greek Club and Croatian. The Coober Pedy Races are held each October, The Opal Festival in June, Yearly Bronco Branding Chamionships at neighbouring towns of William Creek and Oodnadatta, who also host a yearly gymkhana very popular weekends for many.
