Originally built in 1897, Guildford River Retreat offers free WiFi. Located alongside Swan River. It is 8 minutes' drive from Perth Airport and 25-minute train ride from Perth city. Situated on the gateway to the Swan Valley, Guildford River Retreat offers rooms with their own bathroom and private entry. Each room includes a wardrobe, a flat-screen TV and a DVD player. All rooms include a DVD library, tea/coffee making facilities and bed linen. Guildford Retreat is ideally located for visits to the Swan Valley wine region, with Sandalford’s Winery just 7 minutes' drive away. There are several restaurants within 10 minutes' walk. At Guildford River Retreat you will also find a terrace with BBQ facilities and a guest laundry. The property offers free onsite parking.

Jon and Shelley are passionate about two things: providing you with a great stay, and the environment, which is reflected by the way Guildford River Retreat is run. Jon is a keen gardener, specialising in cycads as can be seen in the extensive gardens. Shelley, your host, aims to go above and beyond to help you with whatever you need. Together they have created a haven within the city where you can visit, recharge and rest.

Guildford River Retreat is a family run, eco-friendly boutique hotel within a heritage listed building. Located by the Swan River in the historic hamlet of Guildford, we are within walking distance of all the eateries, pubs and antique stores. The entire site is powered by solar energy and we have grey water systems in place for the extensive gardens. We also advocate for guests to recycle mindfully and have a recycling station for them to do so. Our gardens are organic and produce a variety of fruit and vegetables throughout the year, with extensive flower gardens and insect friendly habitats to promote healthy environments. We strive to continually do better and to provide guests with an opportunity to slow down without leaving the city.
