'The Pear Cottage' a renovated workman's cottage sits high on a hill looking down over the valley as you emerge into the secret little world of 'Tasma Vale'. On the road to Ship Stern Bluff and Cape Raoul, it is ideal for anyone wanting to get away and recharge their batteries or explore what the Tasman Peninsula has to offer. There's a restored claw foot bath from the original cottage on the property in the bathroom, a perfect place to unwind. There's underfloor heating in the bathroom too. The cottage has two luxury king size beds and two king singles giving you a perfect excuse to enjoy a leisurely sleep in. There's also a well equipped kitchen with continental breakfast provisions, tea/herbal tea and locally made coffee. The cottage has a wood heater and air conditioning. Local wildlife, wallabies, possums, wombats, potaroos come close to the cottage at night and you'll see an abundance of bird life. The verandah and deck with a BBQ sits at the front of house looking out towards Benjafield Ridge. On a clear winter's night you may be fortunate to view the Southern Aurora shimmering in the southern sky.

We love living in our part of the world and hope you enjoy our property 'Tasma Vale' and 'The Pear Cottage' in particular. The property has been in our family since the 1890's with three generations of our family living on the property at present. Our house is on another part of the property, we're nearby if you need us, but far enough away for you to be in your own private space.

There's an abundance of things to do on the Tasman Peninsula. We're only 15 minutes from the Port Arthur Historic Site and 10 minutes from the start of the Cape Raoul walking track, part of The Three Capes Walk experience. This track also leads to the world renowned big wave surfing spot, Ship stern's Bluff and Tunnel Bay. Beautiful White Beach is only five minutes away. There are two IGA supermarkets within 10 minutes driving distance, both close at 6.00 p.m. An ATM is at the local branch of the Bendigo Bank in Nubeena.
