Beautiful location looking onto a lovely cobblestone plaza with wine bars and trees. Minutes walk to old central Antwerp, train station, shopping and restaurants. Karin was a great host and explained the facilities and many things we could do closeby.

aplace/antwerp is located on a quaint square in the fashion district. It provides warmly designed and comfortable suites & flats. You’ll experience at least the same conveniences and will be provided with the same amenities as in a high end boutique hotel.
As a kid I dreamed of running my own ‘hotel’. In a small version, this dream came true in 2012. My passion for interior design, combined with a talent for genuine hospitality and perfectionism, has resulted in a place that is truly worth staying at.
aplace/antwerp is located in the center of Antwerp, in the fashion district, on a charming small square ‘De Vrijdagmarkt’. It finds itself in very close proximity of the ‘Groenplaats’, the Grand Square facing City Hall, many designer shops and the ‘Kloosterstraat’, which is known for its antique & vintage shops. Everything you need (or don’t need) you’ll have at your finger tips: restaurants, bars, designer & furniture stores, supermarkets, bakery shops, hair salons, museums, etc. And yet, de Vrijdagmarkt square is a very small, vivit and folksy place that hasn’t been discovered by tourists. It lends itself perfectly to sipping coffee or to have a beer with locals, in one of the bars and to experiencing the weekly auction on Friday morning when the square is piled with furniture, old stuff and, perhaps, the treasure of your life time! On this same square you’ll also find the world famous Plantin-Moretus museum which is world Unesco heritage. In the nearby ‘Nationalestraat’ and in its neighborhood you can spend your money in the various designer shops of the famous “Antwerp Six” and other designers of international fame.
