La Hacienda is a hostel set in the original farmhouse of an organic coffee finca. The house has large airy rooms with private bathrooms set around a central courtyard. The hostel is located up in the hills around 4km from San Gil, Santander with great views of the town and the mountains beyond. We are surrounded by lush green vegetation with many species of birds and butterflies.

We are Felipe (from Colombia) and Jane (from the UK). We fell in love with this beautiful place when we arrived over 6 years ago and our dream came true to be able to open La Hacienda hostel in April 2021 to share it with you all. We met while travelling and know what we think makes a great hostel - we want everyone to be able to relax and feel at home, individuals, couples and families, whether it's for one night or one month!

La Hacienda is located in a vereda campestre 4km from San Gil, its easy to get here is your own vehicle or we can arrange a taxi amigo to pick you up town. San Gil is famous as Colombia's capital of extreme sports, you can go whitewater rafting, paragliding, caving, canyoning or mountain biking. There is also lots of great hiking and pretty local villages to visit.
