The apartment is on the ground floor next to the garden with swimming pool of a former bookshop, L'Ancienne Librairie, located in the heart of Argentière. (Chamonix 8 km). Very quiet and yet central to the village. Heating: electric radiators in all rooms + wood stove. Ground floor: Open kitchen with fridge, freezer, induction hob, oven, extractor hood, dishwasher, combi washer/dryer, microwave, electric fondue set, coffee maker + Nespresso. Sitting room: cozy wood stove, 3-seater sofa, 2 separate armchairs. TV and WiFi. Private south-facing terrace and garden (lunch in the sun) spectacular views of Mont Blanc. First floor: master bedroom: double bed, bathroom and toilet., balcony, view of Mont Blanc. 2nd bedroom: bunk bed and 3rd second bedroom: two single beds (NEW mattresses), renovated bathroom: rain shower, toilet. Own ski locker in common hall. Parking at 150 meters. Non smoking apartment. Pets after consultation. Shops within walking distance (100 meters): supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, restaurants, ski rental. Folder with practical information available for guests. Key box at front door for late arrivals /early departures.
Since 2008, my wife and I have been staying at least two weeks every year with our children and their friends in this very pleasant apartment. After a whole day of skiing, cross-country skiing or hiking, you can comfortably rest from all your efforts by the burning stove. A lunch in the winter sun in the garden is delicious! The television has 150 channels. We also watch movies on Netflix via a laptop. Our fantastic, French hostess Séverine Gentet lives nearby. She is extremely hospitable and helpful. After telephone contact, Séverine will hand over the keys and show you around the apartment. She can also give you information about the area. We wish you a lot of fun and a very pleasant stay in Argentière!
You will be visiting to the Valhalla of winter sports. Argentière offers challenging skiing within walking distance (5 min. Grands Montets) and family skiing via a continuous free bus connection to Le Tour (6 min.) and Chamonix (20 min. bus stop 150 meters). Advice: Do you want to ski every day all week? Book your ski passes online and you will receive a discount! Free parking across the bridge! (Move the car every 24 hours) (Don't park near the supermarket; during festivities your car will be towed away) Ecole de ski, ESF, on site. Office de Tourisme at 30 meters. Throughout the year there are excellent outdoor opportunities nearby: cycling, mountain biking, mountaineering and beautiful hiking in the Alps. In the summer you can enjoy the afternoon sun in the garden and laze by the communal swimming pool. You can walk from the house; for more information we refer you to the Office de Tourisme! There are at least 2 walking routes to Chamonix and to Vallorcine. In Argentiere and Chamonix you will find wonderful restaurants. Chamonix is ​​also definitely worth a visit: beautiful shops, restaurants and via a Télécabine to Aiguille di Midi or by train to Montenvers is unforgettable!
