Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse is a small farm on the Golden Circle only a 20 minute drive from downtown Reykjavík. Perfect for people that have rental cars and those who want to experience a rural part of Iceland but still be close to our Capital. We can help our guests plan their day in respect to weather and other variable conditions and have lot's of ideas on fun things to do. At Minna-Mosfell Guesthouse you can experience 24 hour daylight in the summer and Northern Lights in the fall and winter. This peaceful farm will make you feel right at home and your hosts will try to make your stay memorable.
We are a family of six and live on the small farm Minna-Mosfell. We want our guests to experience how it is to live out in the country but still very close to most attractions on the South West corner of Iceland. We run the Guesthouse together and love to help our guests plan their stay in Iceland, with our knowledge of our beautiful country, so don't hesitate to ask!
We are very lucky that just outside our house is pure nature like mountains, fields, a river and more. It’s amazing to take an evening stroll, a short hike up our small mountain or if our guests are advanced hikers to climb Mt.Esja that is only a few min. drive away. In the area are two horse rentals (2min drive), farmers market during summer (walking distance), a “secret” waterfall in a quiet valley (5min drive), a museum, a golf course (walking distance) and in our town are two swimming pools with sauna, infrared sauna and of course hot tubs (c.a. 10min drive).
