Hotels near railways stations have a poor repiutation. That is definitely not the case with Hotel Rocca e Roma - it's outstanding. We arrived with our eBikes at about 10:45 pm from the Genoa train. The hotel is literally just acros the road from the station. Everywhere seemed very busy but it also seemed very safe with lots of couples and no drunkenness (although it was a Sunday). Our bikes were safely locked in the left-luggage room and there was a lift up to our huge room. We slept well in the bed and came down to a very good breakfast (sausages, eggs, cold meats, cheese, vegetables, breads, jams, fruit...).

The location was good, next to train station and metro station. walking distance from city center, basically on the main street that goes to the center. and the pedestrian area. Good restaurants and caffes nearby. the hotel is friendly and cosy, the room very clean. The bed and pillow comfortable. Each floor has water supply for the guests, which I did not see before. The breakfast was good, a lot of staff to choose, sweet cakes, cookies, tartes, salty food also (cheese, ham, eggs, vegetables), milk and cereals, fruits, different sorts of bread, caffee. The staff is very nice and friendly. They have a nice terrace, but we went on march and was a little rainy and did not have the chance to use it. The area is safe and even when we returned late we felt safe.

Hotel very central and beside airport bus terminal and railway station. Very pleasant helpful staff who spoke English. Clean quiet comfortable room. Air conditioned breakfast room with outside eating area available.

Excellent location in the old city centre opposite the station, beautiful building, very nice rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. You can also arrange parking in the garage opposite the hotel for an additional fee.

Huge room with comfortable bed and good size bathroom. Good section of food at breakfast buffet. Friendly reception staff. Water dispenser in communal areas. Airport bus stop opposite hotel and metro & train station 2 minutes walk. Walking distance to tourist sites, restaurants and shops

Excellent location, you couldn't be more central; you leave the hotel and the train station is right there! The hotel is clean and comfortable, with nice touches such as outdoor areas to relax. The breakfast buffet has every you need for a good start to the day. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in the city like I did!

Most of the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. When I reported a leaking water pipe, it was fixed within the hour. It was warm and quiet. It was close to the things I wanted to do and see, or to public transport to get to those places.
