Hakuba Matata Apartment is in prime location for everything a mountain lover could need. The free ski shuttle stops just 30m from the door, its an easy walk through the forest to get to Happo one ski resort (approx 10 min) & its only 8 minute walk to Echoland main street, the hub of Hakuba's bars, restaurants and shops. You will stay in a freshly refurbished apartment within the Hakuba Matata Lodge building, meaning there is assistance on site most of the time if needed. Ski storage, cosy rooms.

Hey! We're Teri and Braydon. We are adventure lovers who enjoy travelling as much as you do! After many years trotting the globe chasing snow, waves and bike trails we have settled up here in Hakuba and hope to share in the joy that our guests get from their own adventures. We want to provide a chilled out, friendly place to be while you are away from home. Our motto: No worries! The apartment is in the Hakuba Matata Lodge building, but with separate entrance. You will essentially be in a completely private apartment, but should something come up, there will likely be someone on site who will be able to help.

Hakuba Matata Lodge is on a quiet forested street surrounded by other small family owned lodges. There is minimal street traffic. The property backs onto a forest (that you can walk through as a shortcut to the ski jumps, or Happo One Ski Resort). Although we are close to many of the great things in Hakuba, our area is quiet and friendly. Walking Distances Hakuba Ski Jump - 5 minutes on forest path Echoland Main Street - 8 minutes Happo One Ski resort, Nakiyama lift - 10 minutes through forest Good Weather Driving Times Happo One or Hakuba 47 ski resorts - 8 minutes Big Supermarket - 7 minutes Happo bus station - 7 minutes Hakuba Train Station - 10 minutes A free parking space is available on the property. The free ski shuttle bus stop is just 30m from the front door (only opertates in winter season). Free buses go directly to Happo One, Hakuba 47, Goryu and Iimori ski resorts, and less directly to every resort in the Hakuba Valley. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Echoland, the main street for bars, cafes and restaurants.
