Somebody already said this: it’s like staying with your grandmother. The host is really cheerful and kind. The Ryokan is nice and authentic. They provide you with everything: pijamas, soap, toothbrush and even tea!!! The lady doesn’t speak English, but she’s really skilled using Google translate, so the language is not a problem The room is amazing, and for the price, this is beyond exceptional

Just 5 minutes from Takayama Train Station on the free shuttle, Tsukamoto Sou Inn offers a taste of old Japan with its traditional Irori hearth, indoor hot-spring bath and Japanese garden. Breakfast and dinner are available at an extra charge. Guests at Tsukamoto Sou sleep in traditional futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor.
