Our stay at Siete Lunas was luxurious and we felt very taken care of. The view from the room is incredible, the room itself is comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The area is super private and peaceful, and we were often alone hanging out in the main terrace and pool. The food was excellent and the staff spoke great English.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Casa de la Ballena, even with 5 days of rain. The rooms, pool, hot tub and grounds were beautiful. The perfect relaxing environment. The hotel was also in a great location, close enough to easily walk to town but far enough to be quiet in the evening during sleeping time. What made our stay perfect was the on-site hotel manager, Martin. Martin was an outstanding host and helped us with any issues we had, from driving us to town to find an IT store to fix our dead cell phone, helping secure parking for our golf cart rental and arranging airport transportation. He made sure we were happy with all of our time at the Casa de la Ballena. The hotel was a special place with special staff. And, the breakfast is awesome, with many delicious options.

Sayulita is a small but growing local beach town just minutes away from Puerto Vallarta, accessible by car or bus. It is a bustling town with a very relaxed vibe, perfect for couples or groups celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other important occasions. Sayulita is known as a party town and it has the vibe especially at night. But the local residents offer many options to connect with the local culture, art and crafts. There is a plethora of activities available to visitors both on land and sea. You will love the friendly people of Sayulita and be treated well especially if you embrace their culture and show gratitude for their service and care.

Sayulita has got to solve its sewage outflow problem as it affects the quality of the water on the beach. It's a beautiful seaside town with a great surf culture and a variety of bars, restaurants and entertainment venues. If they get their beach issues fixed it will be a little slice of paradise.

It’s a good mix between relaxation, activities, and partying. Main town is mixed with nightlife, hostels, restaurants etc. North is more chill, higher end hotels.
Unfortunately there is a bug/something ripping through the town causing a lot of people to get violently sick, myself included on day 5.

I think that you either really like Sayulita or you don't.
I think that you either really like Sayulita or you don't. There also seem to be recurring problems with the sewage/water system, and people getting sick there. There are a few nicer restaurants but not enough for a longer stay. Many of the less formal places required you to sit on the road or narrow sidewalk with cars, motorcycles, golf carts and the occasional horses going buy, with their inherent noise, dust and smells... There also is very little sidewalk room to walk there, so you constantly walking on the dirt/cobblestone roads, having to be vigilant and dodge traffic etc...

Interesting town, well worth 2-3 days visit.
Interesting town, well worth 2-3 days visit. Of course, as Seniors, we were not there for surfing, but enjoyed dinners at the beach and the chance to see beginners take lessons. We met many wonderful Mexican and North American tourists, and were always treated well by local Mexicans.
This is THE best hotel in Sayulita. Its a bit outside the center which is perfect to have quiet time and night but its still walking distance from the beach and all the fun. The room are nice, clean and big and have all the equipement that you might need. The best part is the people that run the place : the are the nicest people. Always there to help, super interesting to talk to…just really wonderfull people !
I highly recommand that you go to this hotel! we are actually planning when we are gonna go back ! 💕
The location, views, and limited number of rooms was great. The town itself can feel crowded at times, so it was nice to be separate from the craziness. Also super close was playa de los muertos, which felt more local and less crowded than the Sayulita beaches. They had food and drinks services and you could rent chairs for the day. Only a 7 min walk from the hotel. I also really enjoyed their drinks and food, although it was on the pricey side. Both chefs were great.
My friend and I were in Sayulita last year for her brother's wedding and some of the guests stayed here and we loved this hotel so much that we wanted to come back to Sayulita and stay here. We're so glad we tried it! The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Great home base while staying and exploring Sayulita!
As far as I could tell this is the best hotel in Sayulita. It's right on the beach, great rooms, beautiful pool and a wonderful beachfront bar. Not a lot of amenities but it had everything we needed. It's a short walk to downtown and we appreciated not being in down down because it was generally quieter (although one night was very loud due to a wedding at the event space next door).
The place is very small and cozy. The location is in a walkable distance to the busy center of Sayulita, which was important for us (downtown Sayulita can be extremely busy and loud during high season).
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the pool area a lot.
The hotel has beach umbrellas you can bring to the beach.
Thank you, Nuiya Hoteles! I stayed here for 2 weeks and absolutely loved my stay! The staff made me feel so welcome! Nuiya is clean, quiet, close to everything you need, and has great wifi.
It's close enough to the main part of Sayulita, plus walking distance to the north end with other restaurants, a calmer beach, etc.
This was a really nice place in Sayulita, clean and well designed. Mexican style. Location is in the middle of town so close to all food and merchants. The weather was very humid in July so we stayed around the hotel and it was very comfortable with A/C.. Reception staff (Gabriella) was also very helpful.
Staff was excellent and helpful. The pool and hotel were very nice. Rooms are a good size but windows do not cut outnoise from the street or dogs. Underground secured parking was excellent. Hotel is close to everything Sayulita has to offer.
Great location to get around everywhere in Sayulita. Very nice, quiet, safe hotel. Two utdoor balconies were nice. Shade on 1 side, sun on other. Noisier on street but could look out, quiet side enjoying the nice view of the pool and trees.
The best part of of the hotel is that is next to the ocean, 10 steps and you were touching the sand. Sayulita is a very romantic place, is very chill and adventurous. The hotel was ver close to all resturants but very casual and chill.
Great location - right in the center of the square in Sayulita! Was a little loud at night because of that but wasn't a major issue. Staff was friendly and let us leave our bags there after checkout and we felt safe at the hotel.
The facility was extremely clean, the staff was super helpful, courteous and polite and the hotel was a short, 5 minute walk into downtown Sayulita. It was nice to be close to town but still secluded/quiet.
This was our favorite accomodation in Sayulita. Very clean, calm and great rooftop and pools. The people in charge were very nice and the best was the delivery of breakfast to the room. Highly recommended.
I can't believe the price for what you get. It was such a nice and spacious place. Comfortable beds. Super hot showers. All the comforts of a nice hotel for a very low price!
