Located at the southern end of Lake Taupo, Braxmere is beautifully architected bringing you a "home away from home" feeling. Surround by water, nature, and a great atmosphere, what more could you ask for? Come down and experience for yourself just how amazing Braxmere is.

Tokaanu Thermal Pools is only a 2 minute drive from Braxmere. With a small entry fee, you can enjoy the natural private pools, or the public pool. If you are into challenging walks, the Tongariro Crossing is a must do while you are in the area. The crossing traverses the length of Mt Tongariro (18.5km) and can take 6-9 hours depending on your fitness level. You will experience a challenging but breathtaking adventure and it will definitely make your visit one to remember. Braxmere is a good base for fishing, watersports or heading up to Mt Ruapehu for some skiing/snowboarding. We have our own boat ramp for you to launch your boat into the lake, and also a jetty for easy access to the boat. There are a few fishing guides in the area who will take you on their boat, and teach you the ways of Trout Fishing here at Lake Taupo. Experience the Tongariro river, with the local raft company.
