Breakfast had the full array of breads, cereals, jams, peanut butter, and vegemite. Having restored two homes built at the turn of the century (1905, 1908), we loved the 1897 house. A short walk into downtown and the owner was very personable.

Built in the 1890's, Collingwood Manor Boutique Bed and Breakfast is set in a beautiful character villa, a five minute walk from Nelson City Centre. We have 5 beautiful rooms, each with its own private ensuite, as well as heat pump / air conditioning, flat screen TV and DVD player. Feel free to enjoy the guest lounge, veranda and garden. All guest rooms also have tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. Every booking includes a continental breakfast. Cooked breakfast available at weekends. We also have a selection of wine, beer, cider & soft drinks available to purchase. Laundry service available. Whether you're looking for a social atmosphere or a private retreat, Collingwood Manor Boutique Bed and Breakfast is the perfect destination, balancing the divide between a social Bed & Breakfast and a private Boutique Hotel.
We are both avid readers and lovers of the arts, movies & music. We have an extensive library for guests to borrow from, plus many DVD's, CD's and vinyl. There is a full stereo system in the guest lounge, including a turntable, for the guests to enjoy. We have a large collection of art to view throughout the house. We are available to help guest organise days out, offer advice on where to go and what to do in the region, book restaurants and do whatever we can to make for an enjoyable stay. We are a very social couple and enjoy catching up with guests with a wine or a beer at the end of the day. The most fun part of this job is meeting interesting people from all over the globe.
We are a short walk away from downtown Nelson. It is the perfect choice for those wishing to visit the local shopping district, supermarket, cafes, pubs, restaurants and the famous Saturday market. Vineyards and wineries are close by, as is the Abel Tasman National Park and gorgeous beaches and rivers you can swim in. The house too is great to hang out in you feel like a day at home with the lounge, veranda & garden.
