New Plymouth was just fantastic. It is a stunning place to visit - beautiful coastal walks - fantastic art works right throughout the city and the most exquisite gardens. I totally loved New Plymouth and will certainly return.

We loved the location of the Millimium being waterfront and so handy to great cafes shops boutique breweries amd galleries which all we tried were found to be exceptional. Plus we loved the direct access to the board walk to the port past an impressive swimming pool complex then later walked along the pathway in the other direction the Fitzroy beach which had a cafe and outdoor setting on the beach. The whole city seemed safe and attractive and a great place to visit and probably a great place to live.

Good sized room and ensuite.
Good sized room and ensuite. All absolutely spotless and very comfortable. Useful facilities.
Nicely positioned off the main road so nice and quiet but close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Not too far to coast with beaches and coastal path. Friendly and helpful owner with a good knowledge of area and enthusiasm when recommending things to see and do.

At first wasn’t too sure about New Plymouth but the more we walked around the city the more we liked it. It’s a very tidy city with lots of amazing murals painted on buildings, tidy and clean with every shop you could think off. It is handy to the foreshore and a beautiful walkway and within a few hundred metres from beautiful Pukekura Park on other side of township, a must visit.

This hotel is amazing (Probably the best I have ever stayed at) & super cheap too. We booked in for our wedding anniversary & the whole experience was definitely one to remember. The staff were so friendly, we felt super welcomed the moment we arrived. The room service food was delicious. We even had a spa bath in our room and were able to hire out the bikes which we went for a ride in a beautiful forest just down the road. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely return in the future
Central to the city, and next to the promenade. Simple reception, fabulous room. Amazing shower, exceptionally clean room throughout. Beds and linen spotless. Hard working staff. Arrived around 6pm, reception staff busy helping the dinner service, quickly came and checked us in. Some hotels can have very fancy receptions but rooms are very tired. The rooms in the Millennium were great. Would definitely stay there again. The hotel restaurant Salt was excellent.
We ended up at the Novotel New Plymouth for 3 nights during the cyclone Gabrielle, as most of the North Island was badly affected and we were looking for somewhere out of the storm. The staff were excellent and extended our stay after it became clear that one day had to be sacrificed because of the weather. We liked the restaurant and bar and were impressed with how comfortable, spacious and modern the rooms were.
We travel a lot and stay in a variety of accomodations from airbnb/batches/hotels and motels. I can honestly say Ratanui exceeded all of the above. The setting is peaceful, host exceptionally friendly, the grounds are beautiful and our villa was modern, impeccably clean, well appointed and the bed was so comfortable and cosy we didnt want to leave. Thank you so much, these weary grandparents are rejuvinated.
The motor inn is well located within walking distance to the centre of new Plymouth, the coastal walkway, restaurants and supermarkets.
Owners are friendly and very helpful and the service staff are obliging. Washing machine and dryer are available for use at no extra cost which is a bonus when travelling :)
Connectivity was good- wifi worked well. Kitchenette means can cook simple things and clean up.
We booked this hotel as it is one of the closest to the bowl of Brooklands for LAB. The reviews were only average but really is value for money. Nothing flash but our studio was clean and tidy. We were able to have some quiet drinks before the concert without complaints. There were others staying also going to the concert so the place had a good vibe. The bed was really comfortable
Bella Vista is very nice motel with laundry, the receptionist is very pleasant person, he explain all you can visit in New Plymouth, he give us good restaurant and bar address. That the first time we visited New Plymouth we have very good feeling with Bella Vista. We recommend Bella Vista at all tourists.
Just a short drive/walking distance to some scenic spots in New Plymouth. There's a bakery and takeaway food nearby about 250meters away. Place looks old but functional with own stove, microwave, ref, electric kettle, fan, heater and kitchenware. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff on arrival, great communication regarding limited reception hours. Room was clean and tidy, spa bath was nice, location was central, so everything was within walking distance. No problem finding a carpark in the hotel carpark. Great price.
Very clean, great location, great facilities. Beds are perfect to our liking. The owner is very friendly. Perfect for family. 2 toilets are bonus points ! Will definitely keep this on our place to stay in New Plymouth. Overall, very happy to find this place.
This hotel is really well located in the heart of New Plymouth, near the town centre, but also one block away from the seafront walkway. It's perfect for walking a dog. We appreciated being able to travel with our dog.
Great accomodation in New Plymouth. Located in coronation ave so really great when going to places around Mt. Taranaki. Well ventilated rooms and ery spacious as we booked the family studio for 4 adults.
I enjoyed the facilities and the helpfulness of the young staff member on the bar to assistance and advice for dinner options when I got back to the hotel late after a long business meeting in the town.
The Hotel is conveniently close to town and main roads. In inclement weather you all facilities you need are on site.
Parking is ample and the wifi works well. The rooms are warm and spacious.
Fabulous apartment with fantastic views of the river (especially from the bedroom) Quiet and secluded location. Stringly recommend a night or two here, Very convenient for New Plymouth
The room is very neat and clean. The hotel is well designed and presented. Convinent location. As a couple, we would like to stay there again if we go to New Plymouth.
