What a huge surprise! This was an overnight stay so I booked this Tavern/hotel expecting a small room. We met George, the friendliest publican, of Greek origin. He proudly showed us this beautiful room, large and felt like a real home. It was obviously new but not your average hotel room- all furnishings were top class, particularly in the bathroom. Bedroom with super comfortable bed and bed linen crisp, clean and looked new. We normally cook but being a tavern I went for a few beers and got to know most of his local clients. I met Craig his son who runs / watches his dad’s generosity (free first beer) and found everyone so friendly. And the bangers,peas mash and gravy were exceptional. All together a fabulous stay totally unexpected.

Even though it is 6yrs old, the flat is in as new condition & well equipped. Location is an easy 10 minute walk to the beautiful town. The flat is located just across from the back door of the Tavern. Very quiet at night. Plenty of parking for vehicles. The meals were fantastic. Owner George has the best personality & customer service. We loved our 2 night stay.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at the Crows Nest as we were a bit worried the pub might be a bit loud at night but it is far enough away that we didn't hear any noise at all. It was a huge room with a large well equipped kitchen, large lounge, comfy bedroom and good shower with excellent water pressure. We took the train in and the lovely Karen was kind enough to pick us up from the train station which was much appreciated since it was a bit of a walk away. Our host George was excellent and very welcoming, we appreciated his tour of the room and history of the pub. An extra bonus for the welcome shot at the bar when we popped by for a drink! We also got dropped off in the morning to catch the ferry which was lovely. σας ευχαριστώ George!

The apartment is generously sized and very comfortable. It has everything you need to be self catering if you want to be but the bar menu next door has lots of options at reasonable prices. Despite the cold outside, the apartment was really nice and warm even without extra heating on. It was nice to have access to a washing machine as well. George is incredibly friendly and welcoming and we appreciated the free welcome drink and getting to meet some of his locals in the pub next door.

Everything was just as we wanted it to be. Very clean, had lovely bedding, very well equipped in all respects. Suited our needs perfectly. A longer stay would have been ideal. Very friendly owner who also owned the nearby bar and restaurant. Lovely food at reasonable prices. We'll book again, when we take the ferry.

The host George was friendly, down to earth, ready to do anything to help. There is even a shuttle service to your arrival point. They really do go a live and beyond in every way!
