If you want a break in a UNIQUE home, bring another couple with you and enjoy what we and our lovely town of Hawera have to offer. Built in 1914 our Californian Bungalow is a 'Grand' home situated within 5 minutes walk to the main shopping area, bars and restaurants in Hawera. Our guest rooms are large spacious areas where you can relax, take in the views and even eat your meals if you wish. Our formal dining room however is hard to resist if it is something special you desire (evening meals by prior arrangement only). Our garden areas front and back are private also and there a plenty of spots to sit in the sun or enjoy a meal. We cater for small weddings and host private dinner parties for up to 8 in our dining room. Breakfast is included daily with a selection to suit all appetites. If it is something special you are looking for we believe we can offer that, we are experienced hospitality providers who know how to go the extra yards for our guests.

Murray is a keen golfer who at a young 70 still plays off a single figure handicap and when I am not in the garden I enjoy playing Bridge and when time allows I also enjoy a round of golf. We are spoilt for golf courses in South Taranaki and we have a golf cart we can make available for our guests. We also enjoy travelling and meeting people from all over the world is what keeps us offering our home for guests to stay.

Being a rural town of just over 12,000 residents Hawera is not short of much. We have all the usual fast food franchises and stores. We have a fabulous world class attraction in Tawhiti Museum which is a must see for young and old. If its something more strenuous than a round of golf you seek, then our fabulous Mount Taranaki has some great hikes for all grades including all the way to the top. Beaches are only a short drive away and a days fishing is also attainable. There is so much to do here you might even need another night or two to achieve it all.
