Incredible breakfasts with the hosts as we learned more about New Zealand and the culture, host was very friendly and helpful with recommendations and useful discounts, meticulously clean. Super easy access to Kuirau Park across the street and all the geothermal features there and easy to walk to food and in-town attractions.

Offering a hot tub, free WiFi and free breakfast, Rotorua City Homestay is an adults-only property, just a 15-minute walk from the famous Polynesian Spa. Guests enjoy garden views from their private patio. All rooms are heated, and include a 32-inch LED TV, a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer. Rotorua City Homestay B&B is a 20-minute walk from Rotorua Station. The Te Puia Maori Cultural and Thermal Park is a 7-minute drive and Rotorua International Airport is a 15-minute drive away. You can meet other guests in the shared lounge, or relax on the terrace. The hosts can provide sightseeing advice and help book tours for Rotorua’s main attractions. Continental breakfast is served daily, including fresh fruit salad, yogurt, cereals, toast and spreads, juices and freshly ground coffee.

Our property provides a 'home away from home' atmosphere that offers all the amenities you would expect to find in a hotel. Our B&B is stylish, comfortable, private, friendly and relaxed. Our garden/courtyard and spa is a real oasis to come back to after a day of activities in Rotorua. We offer a full breakfast which is a set menu that changes daily, and this is served at a time that you state the night before. Dietary or vegetarian requirements can be catered for providing you let us know in advance - ideally when you book, please send us a message. Rotorua City Homestay is for ADULTS ONLY (18 years and older), children under 18 cannot be accommodated. We have free on street parking outside. When you arrive, parking is on the angle parking on PUKUATUA STREET (not on our private driveway which is on Whakatau Street, as we don't own all those car park spaces). Our house is very quiet at night with little street traffic after 6pm (unlike the motel strip on Fenton Street).
Rotorua City Homestay has been operating for over 10 years now, with a constant high score fluctuating around 9.0 to 9.3. Having extensive knowledge of Rotorua and all its attractions we can assist you with recommendations on tourist attractions and make bookings for you (for most attractions we have discount vouchers). Enquire with us first before booking anything yourselves as we could save you money and in some cases can arrange door to door pickup (if we do the bookings for you)!
Our property is the closest Bed and Breakfast to the City Centre of Rotorua meaning you can easily stroll to the restaurants, shops, lakefront, museum or Polynesian Spa without the need for a car. We are directly opposite Kuirau Park which is a free thermal park that is nice to walk around. Our property is outside of the sulphur belt (which comes from Sulphur bay behind the Museum area and up Fenton Street towards Te Puia), so we have no, or rarely, any sulphur smell in the air around our property.
