These two stylish newly renovated Cottages are situated in a picturesque Hawke's Bay rural coastal setting; featuring beach walks, cycle trails, winetasting, golfing and alfresco dining, yet only a 15-20 minute scenic drive to the towns of Hastings, Havelock North and Napier. Each Cottage offers self-contained accommodation for two persons, with options for a third person if required. Providing a private enclave from which to escape the city life in a tranquil rural environment, yet close to wineries, beaches and the eclectic Te Awanga community. Envisioned with relaxation as a priority, the architecturally designed Te Awanga Cottages feature views of the surrounding hills and coastline, coupled with lush interior furnishings, including a bath with outdoor viewing, and partially enclosed decks. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat, a venue for a celebration, or that special accommodation after a day of sightseeing or business, then enjoy the sun rising and setting over this idyllic Hawke's Bay property. PLEASE NOTE that cancellations to to C-o-v-i-d related government travel restrictions/ lockdowns being in place then a FULL REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED UP TO THE DAY OF ARRIVAL.
Hi there. We want to assure you that we understand the current situation with travel uncertainty . Although we have a non refundable cancellation policy 14 days out from stay, we want to assure guests that for any GOVERNMENT IMPOSED TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS being in place due to c-o-v-i-d we will offer a refund up until the day of arrival (and throughout stay if necessary where guests may need to leave the property early due to government related travel restrictions.)
Located on the outskirts of the village of Te Awanga, the Hawke's Bay 'coastal cycle way' is literally on your Cottages doorstep. Enjoy a refreshing morning walk through the village to the ocean, or a stroll towards the Cape and Hygee cafe at Clifton Bay. Or hire our bikes (E bikes available) and explore further afield on Hawke's Bays extensive trails. Local attractions include internationally acclaimed wineries, Clearview and Elephant Hill, and for the serious wine enthusiast there are an additional 30 plus vineyards located within a half hour drive. Cape Kidnappers itself is famous for the world's largest land based Gannet Bird Colony which can be visited on foot, or via an organised tour riding behind tractors along the beach, or overland in air-conditioned comfort through rolling farmland. It is also home to one of the world's foremost golf courses, with spectacular clifftop greens against an ocean back drop. Whilst Te Awanga and Haumoana offer glimpses of an eclectic artist community with roadside galleries to explore, a 15-20 minute scenic drive takes you to either the Art Deco delight of Napier, Havelock North, or Hastings Show Grounds and Farmers Market.
