The couple that own this property could not be more accommodating. I felt so welcome, the location near the train station is ideal, and my bed was comfortable; the room was very clean. You are essentially staying in a reconfigured four-story building with hotel-style rooms on the upper floors, and the proprietors live on the first floor. The air conditioning worked great, the bathroom is in the style where water is drained through the floor from the shower. East of Love is a homestay more than a hostel. My private room was large, with a balcony and private shower/toilet. My hosts offered me tea, breakfast, and we interacted often, however do not expect 24/7 service at this property. For me, this was ideal, but this is not a standard hotel/hostel. Other guests were locals. Thanks very much, East of Love Homestay! I enjoyed meeting you.

East of Love Homestay is ideally located only a 3-minute walk from Hualien Train Station and a 10-minute drive from Chihsingtan Beach. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the entire property. East of Love Homestay is a 10-minute drive from Hualien Airport and a 30-minute drive from Hualien Farglory Ocean Park. Taroko National Park is a 35-minute car journey away. Each guest room is fitted with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a mini refrigerator and a working desk. The private bathroom has either shower facilities or a spa bathtub. Guests can make sightseeing arrangement at the tour desk. A variety of Western dining options can be reached nearby within walking distance.
