8 Middedorp is a quaint little house set amongst the beautifully landscaped gardens of a small security village called the Majestic, in the picturesque fishing village of Kalk Bay in Cape Town, South Africa. We have lovingly decorated the space to be a haven to escape to after a busy day on the beach, or visiting nearby tourist attractions. Our valued advise though is to plan time in this magical little village to relax, and enjoy the mixing pot of cultures that line the one Main Road. The Majestic has a full generator with the capacity of keeping all units going during times of load shedding. You will therefore have the benefit of not having to experience load shedding or any power outages during your stay.
We love travelling and experiencing different countries and cultures. I am an interior decorator and have decorated our second home, being 8 Middedorp with love and attention to detail that I am sure you will enjoy. We want you to experience as stay in our home, not a house and hope you enjoy all our trinkets and collectables that we have sourced to create this lovely space.
While visiting Kalk Bay the most important thing to ensure is that you have a secure off road parking space if you intend having a car. 8 Middedorp has a basement parking with direct access to the kitchen via a private staircase. As our generator kicks in during load shedding you will not have to endure any electrical outages during your stay. Everything in the town is within easy walking distance and a stroll to one of the nearby restaurants, art galleries, the beach or the working harbor is more advisable than driving. The little town has one main road and therefore is busy and parking is at a premium. We have a file available of all the wonderful hidden gem places we have found and suggest you visit, as well as a list of recommended restaurants to visit.
