We are very blessed to have a very huge home. We boast 7 geustrooms and also live local adding another 4 bedrooms. There are 9 shower/bathrooms, 5 fully kitted kitchens and 3 kitchenettes. The spaces are private. Solar power with battery backup is our key comfort focus. Backup borehole water is available if required. All rooms are supplied with locally filtered water. We pride ourselves in creating a friendly and homely environment. The decor is arty with a mixture of old and new put together to create warmth and fun. The property has a beautiful garden with a lush swimming pool however not heated. Barbecues around the pool area are welcomed. A pool table is available to enjoy a game or two. Also a small play park for smaller kids. Safe parking, safe environment, all in all, a calm and relaxing experience. We are very concerned for everyone's safety and hence have an electrical fence and alarms. We only have bookings from reputable forums to ensure again safety and security. Private bookings are accepted via whatsapp and payment has to be made upfront via bank transfers to limit any cash on the property. All doors at the rooms are fitted with additional security gates. All windows have burglar bars.

Heidelberg was the first capital of South Africa albeit for only a short period. There are many historical sites in Heidelberg. The Heritage Museum is newly renovated with a beer garden and restaurant, and is the place to catch up with local history as they are passionate about sharing. Beautiful architecture and antique homes are to be found when driving around in the older Heidelberg area. Many of the local businesses, restaurants, and coffee shops are family owned which gives them that special feel. Heidelberg is very close (50-60 km) to most larger cities and also the main International airport, Oliver Tambo, which makes for a safe place to travel to and from. Surrounding Heidelberg are many county wedding venues and we are close to all of them. Enjoy late nights and stay over at my geusthouse. Stay safe! The very famous Suikerbosrand hiking trails are 15km away. You may also do the wildlife drive to view some wild animals. Some shorter in-town nature walks are also popular. And the very polular Saturday Park Run is hosted at Silver Oaks farm very close by. Heidelberg Shopping Mall offers an pleasant and safe experience. The Mall butchery has the best biltong and "droë wors" in town. Heidelberg also boasts with a very nice Golf Club and an airstrip for small aeroplanes and helicopters. Popular markets like The Vellie Fest, Beer Fest, Vark(Pork) Fest, and many more... Keep an eye out for local events and plan your stay around these dates. Local schools are professional and conservative. The local Highschool is very serious about all major sports and hosts many sporting events. Epicure Home Guesthouse is 2km from these sporting events.
