After years of working in yachting and hospitality we decided it was the right time to take the next step and open our own holiday accommodation. These apartments are the first step in realising our dream and we are very excited to be able to welcome you to join us on our adventure! Forest Gate offers new self-catering accommodation in the beautiful Garden Route. We are conveniently located just off the N2 between Plettenberg Bay (6km) and Knysna (24km) offering a rural retreat with easy access to all local amenities, attractions and activities. Our apartments are newly renovated giving you a fresh, modern space to relax and enjoy your down time while tucked away in nature. We have everything you need for your stay as each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, including fridge, microwave, gas stove, kettle, toaster and cooking equipment. All units offer free wi-fi, separate bedrooms, private bathrooms, a lounge and dining area, a personal terrace with Brasilia area and lots of communal open space. Keep a look out for our resident family of Bush Buck, they are shy but can often be seen near the property around dawn. There is also ample free parking directly in front of your property, and there is no need to reserve your space. We will be there to meet you and show you around when you check in so please let us know your estimated time of arrival. Each apartment has been newly refurbished to a high standard so that you can switch off from the stresses and strains of everyday life. You also have a comfortable personal terrace area with views over the garden and into the forest, offering you offer a truly rural bush experience but please be aware that the surrounding areas are still under development. We are working hard to get all areas up to the same standard so please bear with us and let us know if you have any feedback on how we can improve your stay.

We are ideally located on the idyllic Garden Route only 6km from Plettenburg Bay, offering easy access to all the local shops, restaurants, amenities and activities. There is so much to do, whether it is shopping, hiking, swimming with seals or just chilling on the beach, there is something for everyone so you definitely will not be bored! Some of the popular points of interest near Forest Gate include Knysna Elephant Park, Bloukrans Bridge, Wolf Sanctuary, Adventure Land, Zipling, Robberg Peninsular and Garden of Eden National Parks, The Knysna Heads, Plettenberg Bay Beaches and the Harkeville Saturday Farmers Market plus much, much more!
