NO Loadshedding at Glenfinnan! We now have a full off-the-grid solar-based power backup system to ensure that our guests are not affected by the power grid issues in South Africa. We also offer a fast internet connection (1Gb download / 500Mb upload) for our business guests that need to work from their rooms. Each room has a chair and desk that is suitable for working if the need arises. Langebaan is a picturesque village and Glenfinnan offers stunning panoramic views of the lagoon with its emerald green waters and pristine white sandy beaches. We are located along the West Coast of South Africa, about 100km North of Cape Town. Glenfinnan is conveniently centrally situated, being only a short walk away (700m) from the lagoon beach and town centre where many shops, restaurants and an Art Gallery can be found. The lagoon is perfect for kite surfing, kayaking, SUP, and other water sports. Most water sport equipment and bicycles can be rented from stores that are within easy walking distance from Glenfinnan. With its proximity to the West Coast National Park, Langebaan is a bird-watchers' dream.

Your hosts have travelled extensively around the world, and lived in a few different countries. Having experienced all kinds of accommodation, we have a good idea of how to make our guests feel at home. Besides being one of the safest towns in South Africa, Langebaan is a nature and water lover’s dream. The lagoon is a paradise for the many activities on offer: birding, swimming, kite and wind surfing, boating, canoeing and kayaking. Golf enthusiasts can tee off at the Langebaan Country Club (Gary Player designed course) less than 5kms away. Nature walks, bird hides and the West Coast Nature Reserve on our doorstep, famous for the Postberg and its wild flowers. The gate to the West Coast is a 5min drive from Glenfinnan Guest House. Langebaan is the perfect location from which to explore the West Coast, from the Cederberg and Lambert’s Bay in the north, Paternoster, to Riebeek West and the wineries to the east. Not to mention Darling, its brewery or catch a show with Pieter Dirk Uys Langebaan offers romantic beach walks on pristine white sand. Watch the magnificent sun sets while viewing the kite surfers in action either from our balcony, the upstairs rooms (Iona and Mull) or with a cocktail at one of our many beach restaurants. Alternatively, sit on the beach to take in the beauty, tranquillity and serenity of the peaceful surroundings. A spoil to satisfy all the senses.
