Amazing chalet, impeccably clean

The people at Barcelos were great, very friendly and wanted to help. They provided us with names of 4x4 guides, helped with things to see and visit and where to eat. The property is in a great location with walkable restaurants and supermarket. The area was very safe and they have a secure lot to park cars. The city center has a few restaurants which a is longer walk but we decided to drive. The pousada was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the sauna after our days hiking! Barcelo’s is right near the entrance to Serra Cananstra park and near cheese farms to visit. For breakfast they offerred great local Canastra cheeses, fruits, yogurts, cereal, eggs and these excellent grilled cheese breads, yum!!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pousada Caminho da Serra in São Roque de Minas for three nights, and it was a delightful experience. In a serene location, the pousada is well situated close to the national park, making it a perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of the area. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was truly delicious, offering a variety of fresh, local flavors that provided a wonderful start to each day. The ambiance is one of its most charming aspects. It's quite silent, allowing for a restful environment. Despite its simplicity, the place exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, making it feel like a home away from home. The staff's attention to detail and warm hospitality added to the overall comfort of my stay.

As we say in Greek, filoksenia. Eduardo's hospitality was absolutely amazing. Preparing an amazing breakfast for us in the morning to start our adventure, and returning back to authentic Brazilian dinner. Each night was something special! Eduardo was more like a friend than a host. Plenty of exotic birds flying around, with a river inside the property.

small family owned place, just outside the town and along the road to the national park. the place is simple but very pleasant, wi fi is excellent, a nice common room which leads to all the 6 or so suites. All in all a great place to stay, with an excellent breakfast. the ceiling fan was a bit noisy, but most are anyway.
