Lovely people. Super helpful and went out of their way to help us find a good guide (mandatory) for Burracao. Make sure you download your route to get here when you have phone reception or WIFI and come when it’s light. It’s beautifully remote and out of the town of Ibicoara which is a good thing. As with most roads around Chapada, a car with good ground clearance helps, but we did it in a regular Chevrolet saloon. NB It wasn’t raining. The Pousada Raposa 🦊 has good WiFi and you can follow the excellent map from Raposa round the back roads to Buracão which cuts the journey down to about 40 minutes. It’s also a far more pleasant route. The pousada itself has total silence, noisy frogs, a couple of ponds, a pretty garden and even a river and waterfalls. You’ll feel at home.
