The Pousada is beautiful. Rooms are large and comfortable, with great views of the mountains. While we did not get to use all the amenities, we did enjoy two meals in the restaurant. Both the food and service were excellent. The staff of the Pousada is outstanding. Thanks to Ana Carolina at reception, Silvio in the restaurant and Francisca in housekeeping for making our stay so enjoyable.

I loved this clean, comfortable pousada! Lavras Novas is a beautiful little village high in the mountains, and our stay at Pousada Esquina de Lavras was fantastic. The breakfast was fantastic - a huge selection of fruit, lovely light, airy bread rolls, cakes, cheese, ham, freshly squeezed juice and plenty of home-baked pães de queijo, Brazilian cheesy rolls. Patrícia and Jaime were lovely and made us feel welcome, even driving us to some local attractions we'd never have known about otherwise. The location is great - it's only 10-15 mins' walk to a place with great mountain views, and only 15 minutes to the village centre. Would highly recommend if you like small, tranquil places with a lovely atmosphere
