everything was perfect! super easy to find and close to the boat crossing (15 mins walking) to Caraiva old town. this is perfect if you have a rental car as cars are not permitted there. the room has excellent AC and was super clean. Nadi, the host made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and knew where everything was. Despite my low level of Portuguese and her not speaking English she made sure that we understood everything and that we had an amazing time! The breakfast she made was delicious (especially her Tapioca which was the best we had so far in Brazil).

The stay at Pousada Bahia was absolutely amazing. I traveled with a friend and initially booked two nights but then extended to four nights. Roberta welcomed us with open arms and was super helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fresh fruits and juices. Everything was clean. The rooms are spacious and some of them have a hammock outside. The shower had warm water and good water pressure. The wifi was working great. Only on the day of our departure both the electricity and internet were down for about 7 hours in all parts of Caraiva, that happens from time to time. Novo Caraiva is less touristy than Caraiva and from the Pousada, you can walk to the beach and all the way up to Satu Beach (4 km) and the lagoons. Also, it is only a few hundred meters away from the port to transfer to Caraiva by boat (7.50 Reais one-way). The boats run 24/7 and we never had a long wait so traveling back and forth was no issue for us. Big shout out to Franklin who offered us a ride to make life easier. The area is very safe. Thanks for a wonderful time Roberta, Franklin, Tiago, and everyone else; I hope to be back soon!
