The room ( one of the expensive ones) had not been updated in Approx 30 years and it looked like a bad handyman built it. The cleanliness was really bad. Basically the whole place needs a major renovation or to be bulldozed and rebuilt. Steak at dinner was ok. Breakfast sub standard. People working there friendly and wanted to please. If this is the best hotel in town I would hate to see the worst.

We felt like we could have been anywhere in the world… Italy, France, but it’s just off a small town in Ecuador! Christina was fantastic, she helped us book taxis, cooked a beautiful breakfast for us every morning and dinner with wine. My boyfriend organised to have our cabana beautifully decorated with roses and champagne, which Christina accommodated perfectly. She tried very hard to speak English too. Ps the owners have the cutest & nicest dogs in the world!
