Lovely old fashioned pub that had been modistly furnished and well equipped. would have enjoyed it more had it not been raining the evening.

Pleasantly surprised by this pub with rooms, having stayed in similar-looking pubs, similarly priced, that were only so-so. Comfortable, clean and thoughtfully kitted-out room. Very good dinner, chosen from an extensive menu. Breakfast also very good and service excellent. Quiet location but close to where we wanted to go, with good road links. Rooms appear to be all in separate single-storey buildings in the grounds of the pub itself.

On our one-night stay we enjoyed a delicious dinner and a substantial cooked breakfast. Our ground-floor room adjacent to the Inn was comfortbly and imaginatively furnished, providing a good, quiet night's sleep, with our car parked just outside.

Large comfortable rooms in a range of outbuildings. All rooms are at ground level. Management and staff are very friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were both really good and they serve an impressive selection of real ale. We have stayed there previously and are very likely to return. Located in an interesting village next to the former home of the poet John Clare.

Well equipped and spacious room in an outbuilding at the back of the main pub. There was a modern wet room, very large bed, fridge. The village is very pretty and extremely quiet. An ideal location for anybody visiting Burghley House & Stamford. We had pub classic sausage and mash (with an excellent variation on red cabbage) for dinner, which was very good. Good cooked traditional English breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. A good place for an overnight stay.
