Horse and Groom is a countryside pub located in Bourton-on-the-Hill in The Cotswolds, 43 km from Oxford. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and restaurant. Free private parking is available on site.

All rooms are fitted with a TV. You will find a kettle in the room. Extras include bathrobes and free toiletries. Horse and Groom features free WiFi throughout the property.

You can get a nice English breakfast anywhere in the Cotswolds, but this is just a notch better than the usual, i.e. with fresh avocados, rather than canned ones. They are also a true Gastropub with friendly and competent service. We had a gourmet dinner with excellent menu choices, and they had no problems accommodating a table of seven in a timely manner. Centrally located in the Cotswolds with a perfect view over the landscape in the front rooms and a quiet garden in the back. All rooms (we rented all 5 of the rooms) with all the comforts and amenities you might want and impeccably clean. Plenty of parking!

We loved our quirky room. It was quiet and clean. Lots of hot water for the shower. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty, full English if you wished with other options as well. The food in the pub was excellent as was the beer. A very convivial place!

I think most people would really enjoy staying here. It has great atmosphere. Lots of people from all over staying here. There’s east park in as it’s an old coach inn. The food is delicious with lots of choices. All the staff are very helpful. Kate especially helped me with local transport.

Very comfortable, homey feel. I liked how we felt transported back in time. The decor fit the inside of the hotel. The signage was good considering the actual rooms were only a little short of a maze. Considering we were given a room right at the end, it wasn't as hard as it seemed to remember the path. The breakfast was amazing with buffet AND choices, and they always let us in minutes before closing. Dinner was fine, the bar also fine. Cute dogs at the bar. The library area was fun to explore - great for spending time in the evening.

This is a wonderful old inn and pub located in the center of the town of Moreton-in-Marsh. The train station is a few blocks away and there are restaurants located within easy walking distance. Our room was large, clean and had everything that we needed. The staff was very helpful and breakfast was included. We had a delightful stay.
