Absolutely good service and hospitality. I was offered a ride to the station early in the morning. Also, I left my glasses in the room and they sent it to my next hotel. All of these are without additional charge.

It does a wonderful job of providing the ryokan experience a short five minute walk from the Takayama Station. We stayed two nights, had the excellent Japanese breakfast both days, and booked the Kaiseki dinner the second night for 6600 yen. It is definitely something worth doing at least once and was a pleasant experience. All the staff was great.

They even drove to pick us up from a nearby bus station free of charge. The reservable private onsen was lovely, and included some romantic candle lighting and small garden. Location is 5 min walk from Hirayu Onsen bus station which is super convenient if you’re planning on going to Kamikochi. Hotel also provides a shuttle bus service. Onsens were great, both the private ones and the one in your room. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Views were absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend the half pension - dinner and breakfast were amazing! The resort also provides free Yakult, milk, ice creams and ramen. I cannot recommend this place enough.JieleiYoung couple

We were shown to our room by an Obasan (As our room was deep inside the ryokan towards the end!), and she explained everything about our room and the facilities available! Modern amenities with the rustic traditional ryokan, love it. We had an allocated private space to dine in at the restaurant, and the set course meal was really enjoyable! As we spoke little to none Japanese, the staff were thoroughly helpful and tried their best in explaining.
