It is a hostel and not expensive but you definitely get more out of it. The host was so nice and treated us like family. We even got invited to Family dinner. The A/C was working great and everything was clean.

The location is fantastic, close to everything you need to see and do in Stone Town. The place is very clean and has a nice, relaxing energy. Immediately we arranged for a cheap airport pickup (20€) and a dinner that was awaiting us when we arrived since the kitchen closed before our arrival time. We had the rooftop terrace to ourselves! The hostel is one of the oldest guest house in the city, full of old photographies an objects, carpets on the floor and spaces were to sit and relax. Amazing rooftop with view on the port and the sea life. Nice sunset. The stuff extra friendly, the girls who served breakfast as well, take care of the details.
