This place really is something out of a storybook. Quiet, peaceful, serene. The rock lined room opens up to a small patio complete with table and chairs just steps away from the river. Maybe a five minute or less walk to literally everything in Leavenworth. The bed was AMAZING, the shower was awesome, and the room had all the comforts and modern amenities you could need. The WiFi was stable and fast as well. The free parking was HUGE as this place fills up with tourists by 10am. BONUS, heated floors! felt AMAZING when getting out of the shower.

Breakfast was plentiful and a large variety was offered. The bed was very, very comfortable, and as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe with the lock system on the doors. I told Kim (who checked me in) that I came to Leavenworth for my birthday, and she put a beautiful balloon, little tort, and card in my room -- quite a surprise when I came back from dinner! The complimentary breakfast was unexpected and very good. I also liked the 24/7 availability of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the lobby. The location of the hotel is perfect. I didn't use the swimming pool and so can't comment, but I noticed that it was very popular among guests, a sign that it must be great!

Nice view of the winter adventure land roller coaster and mountains. The location was perfect. Just a 5 minute drive to the town. Hot breakfast was very good. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day long. Nothing to not like about Blue Elk Inn. Shout out to Ms Nancy - a staff member - who was the most helpful and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed being in Leavenworth while the town was set up for Christmas, the lights were just fabulous this truly is a destination place. Linda and her staff at the Obertal Inn were very kind, helpful, always with a smile ready to help you, be sure to have one of their apple strudels, the morning hot breakfasts was a nice touch.
