This guesthouse is really special. The rooms are very imaginatively decorated and the whole place was refurbished beautifully in 2017. Bathroom was excellent, bed and the room were both huge and cosy.Luisa was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was great, a good selection of meats, cheeses, breads and sweet items, plus eggs cooked to order. The guest house is a short walk from Steeg-Gosau train station and is well placed for a visit to Hallstatt. Bonus: the lovely resident black Labradors :)

In a historic building from the 15th century in the centre of Hallstatt, Pension Simony offers panoramic views of Lake Hallstatt and the surrounding mountains. It provides free WiFi in public areas. I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Gasthof Simony, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. What stood out to me the most was the remarkable attention to detail and very very warm hospitality of the staff.
