Set in Bad Goisern, Welterbe-Wirtshaus Steegwirt features a garden and a private beach area. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. This guesthouse is really special. The rooms are very imaginatively decorated and the whole place was refurbished beautifully in 2017. Bathroom was excellent, bed and the room were both huge and cosy.Luisa was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was great, a good selection of meats, cheeses, breads and sweet items, plus eggs cooked to order. The guest house is a short walk from Steeg-Gosau train station and is well placed for a visit to Hallstatt. Bonus: the lovely resident black Labradors :)

In a historic building from the 15th century in the centre of Hallstatt, Pension Simony offers panoramic views of Lake Hallstatt and the surrounding mountains. It provides free WiFi in public areas. Location is perfect. You can have breakfast at a nice garden next to the lake. Host arranged the two of three families that had the 2 rooms to share the bathroom between them. It was like we had a separate apartment with 2 rooms just for us. Simple but good breakfast. We liked it very much and had the opportunity to enjoy our stay in hallstatt
