Excellent value for money and the included breakfast is amazing. But the best thing about this visit was the evening meal. Absolutely brilliant food. Best steak I have had in a long time.

Peaceful location in lovely grounds. Not a standard hotel - a bit more communal (unforced) eg all eat dinner at 6 pm with a focus on finding peace and slowing down . Many rooms to read and study in. The manager showed us around and explained the concept even though we were really just passing through. Also very good value for money by Danish standards

Dating back to 1566, this cosy inn is in Padborg, just 3 km from the German border. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, and WiFi is free throughout the premises. The staff was extremely friendly, even making some late dinner for us as we arrived late due to traffic. We also appreciated how quiet the place was. Finally, the food at the restaurant was great as well.
