It is not possible to describe how special this place is and we highly recommend everyone to come here and experience it yourself. Heaven in Satinwoods is our favorite place in Sri Lanka and also the food here is just the best that you can get. So if you come to this place, you should definitely try the rice and curry. From the first second we arrived at this place, we felt like staying in paradise. We were welcomed with a fresh juice, some wet towels to refresh our faces and a flower necklace. The rooms are very spacious, there is an A/C in every apartment and it is very clean. Also you have drinking water in the room, so you don’t need to buy water. You can just bring empty water bottles and reuse them, which is really great. Also this place has a wonderful garden with many beautiful trees, plants and flowers and you can watch many different animals like giant squirrels and really beautiful birds! Very nice, very calm property. It is close to Debarawewa lake which I found more beautiful than Tissa Lake with the birds and water buffalos. The owner is very friendly and extremely helpful and he offered to take me to and from Bus station which is really nice. The homestay is approx 2 km from Tissa Lake, you can take a tuk tuk or the owner can help you with transport, for me I prefer to walk. They can also help you with booking Yala Safari It is a great value for money

The rooms were super clean, including the bathroom – major bonus points there! The surroundings were so chill, with lots of trees and a really peaceful vibe. And let's talk about the food and drinks – delicious! But the best part? The hotel hooked us up with a safari, right from their end. Made our trip extra awesome!

The hosts are lovely. We arrived later in the evening and they were super welcoming and caring. The breakfast was amazing and the stay itself is huge and super close to the beach. They just reopened after 6 years and it’s definitely worth supporting! We can only recommend :-)

The room was very clean and there was no unpleasant smell like in some other places. Beds were also really comfortable.
