Great helpful host. Even helped hang out our wash! Awesome having complimentary towels to take to the pools. Fab kitchen. Cute cat.

Porters Lodge is a family friendly oasis in the hills of the Craigieburn Valley, positioned just off the well beaten track of State Highway 73 but easily within reach of Christchurch. What a fantastic experience. We stayed for two nights and would live to visit again to stay longer. What a beautiful mountain lodge and perfect vase for outdoor activities and sports. Really good food and drinks are served as well.

Gladstone Hotel is set in Fairlie, 30 km from Lake Tekapo and 47 km from Timaru. There is an on-site restaurant. You will find a shared lounge at the property. First impressions weren't great, its an old building. But the rooms are clean, the bed and its linen are superb, theres nothing not to like. The wc and shower were spotless . I had a drink on the bar and also ate there the Sea food platter was absolutely amazing, so much food for a really great price. The overall menu looked to have many choices. (there seemed to be quite a few meals collected throughout the evening). Free parking on the road directly at the front of the hotel.

Located in the heart of Methven, The Blue Pub features an onsite bar and restaurant with regular live music. Guests enjoy free WiFi and free parking. The staff were excellent even giving us a lift to Opuke Spa and picking us up afterwards. Food in the pub was very good.
