Just 2 minutes’ walk from Lake Taupo, Acapulco Motor Inn offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen satellite TV and a DVD player. We appreciated that our heat pump was turned on before our arrival. The spa bath was lovely and I appreciated the natural bath products. The cooked breakfast was well presented and delicious. We were given a free newspaper. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

Amazing place, great location and Joy is a fantastic host! Would highly recommended! Having a nice, clean single room at such a low price was very appreciated and the commun area is perfect to work or to meet other travelers. Big kitchen!

Situated in Waiouru, 45 km from Turoa, Roadside Motel features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The inn has family rooms. It was clean and spacious, liked the kitchen and bathroom. Although old it was warm.

Situated in Levin, Ploughman Motel offers free WiFi and off street parking. Rooms feature a kitchenette or full kitchen, a dining area and a private bathroom with shower. Got what we paid for.Basic but suited our budjet

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, The Greytown Hotel offers accommodation in an historic building, which has been licensed since 1860. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. It was small rooms but we had a wunderful stay and we liked the old traditional style where not every wall and floor are straight 🙂. It has this old charm and we couldn't have a better stay in Greytown. There is a Irish pub downstairs but there was no loud noice that disturbed us even though it was Friday.

Love that it's surrounded by bush and you have a slightly private outdoor living space. The bathroom has natural lighting, as does the outdoor roof. Walking distance to the bar. Quiet & serene cos hardly any cars drive by. I like the isolated location but also love that it's only a 15min drive to the township.
