The Center is doing amazing work and is very well run.
The Center is doing amazing work and is very well run. They are helping hundreds of animals get released back into the wild each year and are trying to help prevent electrical injuries to wildlife by paying to replace electrical wires with safer ones throughout their habitat in CR.

Excellent and informative guide - do support if in the area they are doing important work but do book online in advance if possible. We were unable to get tickets when we just walked in so had to revisit and fortunately had the time - others didn't and missed out.JillUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

GO HERE! Omg, this is probably one of my highlight during my trip. The guide's are soo enthusiastic about their work. At least the Ducth guy! :) He had so many jokes and interesting stories to tell. The Jaguar Rescue Center is an incredible project making a real difference to injured and orphaned wildlife in Puerto Viejo. We did the private tour and it was worth every penny. Our enthusiastic guide Dan told us the stories behind the center's current inhabitants and some of their successful reintroductions. An unforgettable experience. Thank you!

You can hear the hawler monkeys very often and also the other natural sounds had a very calming effect to us :) We could have spend the whole day just enjoying pur porch or the ranch with the pool. Raphaël and Paola are very friendly hosts and the other staff is also really nice. We loved that we‘ve been out of the hustle (but that also means a rental car is recommended). Jaguar Rescue Center is very nearby.

The hotel itself is beautiful, pools are stunning, facilities are spacious and beautifully designed, beachfront loungers are very handy, dinner food is very tasty and cocktails nicely prepared. Walking distance to Jaguar rescue center, Soda la Nena ( with good Caribbean food) and supermarkets. The spa is a massage room, but masseusse is lovely and the forest view is stunning.
