Very scenic sandy beach with shallow water.
Very scenic sandy beach with shallow water. Areas for everyone, families, couples and sectioned off area for turtle nests. Turtle volunteers were very friendly and I formative and we saw a baby turtle, Sept. Tavernas and shop were 5 mins walk away and very nice food at Taverna tucked behind main frontage.

Lovely beach, shallow calm sea.
Lovely beach, shallow calm sea. A line of small pebbles as go into sea so possibly beach shoes useful, but then is sand again once in. A long beach but only half has sunbeds, the far end people bring own umbrellas. Turtles nest here so sunbeds and umbrellas have to be near to the sea, leaving space behind, where nests are marked. Due to turtles hatching at night, the beach closes at sunset and opens 7am, at least that was the case in August. Sunbeds quite expensive, 20 euros for 2 beds for whole day. A cheaper rate for 3 hrs is available. Couple of tavernas and mini market at top of hill above beach, bit of a trek in the sun but ok. Nicer than Porto Roma beach as longer, wider and more sandy.AnnaUnited Kingdom

There is also a grocery shop nearby (~100 meters). The room was tidy and comfortable, with a nice balcony and the owners are very nice and helpful people who give good advice and can help with stuff like renting a car/bike for a good price. The surrounding area is very quiet with a relaxing atmosphere.

Not to mention the lovely balconies around the house which overlook towards Gerakas beach. Martha is a fantastic host, she made us feel at home right away. Clean apartment with good internet, so so quiet place, perfect for a good relax. Owner is super easy going, available for late check-out, clear communication, and she was always helpful.
