The dinner and breakfast that we had were SO good and beautifully prepared and presented at our own table. The onsen was great (a wonderful experience) and, of course, there was Mt Fuji visible (between times of cloud cover) from our room's window which also had an excellent view of Lake Kawaguchiko.

We visited it during the Sakura season and the lines of Sakura trees were just 200mtrs away from the hotel. The room was of good size and had running hot water. The owner was kind enough to let us check in at 1pm. As it was the peak of tourist season and taxis were unavailable, the owner kindly dropped us to Kawaguchi station.

It's a reasonable trek to the lake but the scenery during the walk makes up for it. You are supposed to be able to see a towering view of mt fuji from the road in front of the hotel but unfortunately during the 3 days we were there it was foggy and we could see anything. Location is good which is easy to access to many restaurant and shop provided you are self driving. We love the Mount room view and the room space is good enough for 4 family members. The Parking is Free. We love the hotel breakfast as well, simple delicious with the option of Japanese or Western style meal. It is so close to the beautiful Lake Kawaguchi, many onsen, and other sightseeing locations in the amazing Fuji area. The kitchen is very well-equipped and there is such a nice lounge area - couches and also Japanese-style tatami mats with cushions and table. Free tea and coffee, free washing machine, free bikes to rent! Highly recommend everything about this hostel.
