Being by the Tahunanui beach campsite was an added bonus as we were able to use the playground, play mini golf and ride the bikes (we had to hire them). The Deck Cafe was amazing from the staff to the food. Was also within walking distance from the beach cafe and coffee shops and restaurants.

Hotel has a nice restaurant and bar overlooking adjacent Maitai River. Immediate access to Maitai River Walkway, which leads to the Marina in one direction and lovely countryside in the other, excellent for walking or jogging. Tahunanui Beach a little far to walk.

There were a lot of extras provided eg binoculars,umbrella's,torch. Could sit and relax in a chair and look at the scenery. We didn't walk on the beach but looked at it every day.
