This is a great location for beautiful sunsets as well as seeing the power of the Atlantic Ocean rush through a relatively small opening, the mouth of hell. I went first on a calm, sunny day, where the power of the water was relatively sleepy compared to the next time, when the ocean was a bit stormy and the water rushing into the mouth of hell, was powerful and awe inspiring. Walking from Cascais is great exercise and may be too long with a gentle incline for some travelers. Also, bring 20 cent Euro to use the restroom facilities, should you need them. The units are self-cleaning, so whatever you do, do not try to enter after someone has exited, as you may be stuck inside while cleaning. Wait for it to turn green, pay your 20 cents and wait for the door to open.Pircer

The train station and bus terminal are also within walking distance.

The apartment was very clean, really spacious and the pool and gardens were immaculate.

I was able to enjoy walking around the central part of Cascais. Additionally, I took several long walks along the coast and was able to take in all of the sights from the marina all the way to Boca do Inferno. I loved the balcony overlooking the bay. It was great for taking an afternoon break and soaking up the sun. I will definitely return to Hotel Baia.
